Eternals is a platform for memorialization of our loved people who passed away. It provides tools for sharing memories and photos between the community of people who knew the deceased or wish to pay their respects.

Our mission is to create a warm place to keep memory of your loved ones. At iceberg we follow a few basic privacy principles:

You own your data. We don’t sell or share your personal information with others to market their products to you.
The data on the Platform is public, for everyone to see, learn about our loved ones, share and contribute their own content as appropriate.
We don’t track you location.

This Privacy Policy applies to iceberg Technologies Ltd. (company in incorporation), the developer of the Eternals app (“iceberg”, “we” or “our”), and covers the Eternals app (“Eternals Platform” or “the Platform”). It is part of iceberg's and the Eternals app's Terms of Service. By using this service, you agree to both our Terms of Service and this Privacy Policy; if you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

What Information Does the Eternals App Collect, Use, and Share?

The Eternals app collects personal information from you in order to provide you the Platform. We collect the following information from you when you use our app:

Personal Information, including your name, address and email. We may also collect your phone number. We use this information to facilitate our service and to provide technical support.
Message Content, including images and photos you send on any of the Platform person pages or which you send to iceberg or iceberg Support. If your user account is deleted, your messages and images will remain accessible to other users of the Platform.
Log Data, including your mobile platform, screen resolution, and load time on the app. We use the Log Data to improve our app functionality, performance, and user experience.

How Does the Eternals App use Personal Information?

We use personal information to provide and improve the service. This includes:

Using your email and/or phone number to send you email and/or SMS messages so you can authenticate your account or reset your password.
Present your content on the Platform with your details, including full name, city and country of residence.
Inform you on any updates of pages you follow in the Platform.
Using personal data to research and improve our Platform and track and analyze trends and usage.
Preventing fraud and abuse of our system and assuring compliance with out Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
Communicating with you about your use of the Platform and troubleshooting any problems you may have.

When Do We Share your Personal Information?

Iceberg does not share user personal information with third party marketers or advertising platforms. We only share personal information in the ongoing use of the Platform, as detailed above, and in the following circumstances:

We share personal information with third-party service providers who provide services to us including payment processors, email/SMS-based communications, hosting services, and analytic services.
We may disclose or transfer your personal information in connection with the sale, merger, bankruptcy, sale of assets or reorganization of our company. We will notify you if a different company will receive your personal data and the promises in this Privacy Policy will apply to your data as transferred to the new entity.
We may disclose your personal information if we believe that disclosure is reasonably necessary to comply with a law, regulation, valid legal process (e.g., subpoenas or warrants served on us), or governmental or regulatory request, or if we determine in our own discretion that your actions on the Eternals app constitute fraud, abuse, harassment, or are in violation of the Eternals app Terms of Use. We also may be required to disclose an individual’s personal information in response to a lawful request by public authorities, including to meet national security or law enforcement requirements. If we are going to release your personal information, we will make an effort to provide you with notice in advance, unless we are prohibited by law from doing so.

Data Retention Policy

The Eternals app collects only the information it needs for the purposes of providing the Platform services, and retains that data as long as necessary for those purposes. If you have not accessed your account for 6 months, we will consider it inactive and may delete your user account at our own discretion.

How to Access or Delete Your Information

You own your data. If you need to access or delete personal information stored on the Eternals app servers, you can do it in the app for any of your uploaded content or by sending us a message at info@iceberg-tec.com describing your request. Identity verification may be required for security purposes. While some anonymized or aggregated information may not be available, we will review and respond to access or deletion requests within 45 days.

Security

The security of your data is important to us but remember that no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your Personal Data, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

What Rights Do I Have?

Individuals located in the European Economic Area (EEA) have certain rights in respect of your personal information, including:

The right of access to your personal data;
The right to correct or rectify any inaccurate personal data;
The right to restrict or oppose processing of personal data;
The right to erase your personal data; and
The right to personal data portability.

We rely on your consent as a lawful basis for processing personal data during:

initial collection of personal data through the Platform;
Presentation of personal data on the Platform;

We process personal data in order to perform our services for you.

Additionally, we process personal data based on our “legitimate interests” in providing you the Service as described in the section “How Does the Eternals app use Personal Information”, including:

To enable the Platform to function as expected;
To better understand how the Platform is used and to research and improve the Platform; and
To communicate with you in response to customer service inquiries, to deliver non-promotional, service-related emails, or to administer surveys and questionnaires.

In some cases, iceberg may process personal information pursuant to a legal obligation or to protect your vital interests or those of another person.

How May I Exercise My Individual Rights?

The Eternals app users located within the EEA may access and update their personal information by contacting us at info@iceberg-tec.com.

Please note that iceberg may request additional information from you to verify your identity before we disclose any personal or account information.

Is the Eternals app for Children?

The Eternals app is designed for use by people over 18 years old. The Eternals app does not target users under the age of 18 for our services. If you are concerned the Eternals app may have unknowingly collected information of your child under the age of 18, please contact info@iceberg-tec.com and we will remove the data upon verification.

Material Changes

Iceberg will notify the app users of material changes—any changes which impact your rights—through e-mail or through the Eternals app before the change goes into effect. If you have any questions regarding changes, please contact us at info@iceberg-tec.com. Continued use of the Platform after the changes go into affect constitutes consent to the change.
